Awareness Ribbon Colors

Before making a Unique Ribbon Shawl, you need to know what color awareness ribbon you want it to refer to.  Such as a pink ribbon for breast cancer, lavender for all cancers and purple for all cancer survivors. Some may wonder what other ribbon colors stand for, which color ribbon represents what illness, campaign, group, etc.  I found a website that has almost all the colors and I’ve used this site many times. Click here to research what color you will need.

There is also another chart that is referenced by a Revelry pattern and it kind of fills in the blanks for that bigger list, but is NOT a full list.

Dark Blue
Child Abuse, Colon Cancer, Arthritis, Police Officer lost in the Line of Duty, CFS

Light Blue
Men’s cancers, Thyroid Disease, Grave’s Disease

Gold
Childhood Cancer

Green
Organ Donation/Transplant, Bi-Polar, Tourette’s Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy

Lime Green
Lymphoma, Muscular Dystrophy, Lyme Disease

Teal
Female Cancers, Panic & Stress Disorders including PTSD

Red

Orange
Leukemia, Multiple Sclerosis

Pink

Awareness Ribbon Shawl

Support a loved one by raising awareness of their particular disease, plus make them happy with a soft, custom-made shawl!

I shipped a beautiful mint green Unique Ribbon Shawl  for someone with kidney disease. It is about 6 feet long and about 2-1/2 feet wide, made from baby sport soft yarn. Here is a photo of it. If anyone wants one made for themselves, just message me via my Facebook link. They are $30 plus shipping cost. I can make the proper color for the disease it is to raise awareness for. Everyone, without exception, has absolutely adored these shawls.
